Mission Statement
Our Muslim community in Milton is working hard to preserve our Islamic traditions and cultures while desiring to be an important part of the larger Canadian community. To achieve this, the existence of a Masjid & Islamic Centre is important. We do not have a proper Masjid in our town to cater for the needs of the growing Muslim population.

Muslim Association of Milton (MAM) has been serving the Muslim community of Milton since 2005 by providing a place of worship for daily 5 prayers, Juma’a prayers, Taraveeh prayers, and Eid prayers. MAM’s mission is to establish, maintain and support a Masjid with services conducted in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of the Islamic faith.

Efforts for this Kaar-e-Khair, Al Hamdolillah, are in progress. With the community’s help, we have purchased and paid off a small property located at 511 Ontario St which serves as Musallah for 5 daily prayers. MAM has been administrators of the Musallah since its purchase in Dec 2007 and we continue to operate it for the benefit of the community. We are renting local city-run facilities for Jumma prayers, Taraveeh prayers, and Eid prayers. For each of these occasions, we must roll out the carpets and setup the facility for prayer, and then clean up and pack the carpet rolls afterwards. We have an old van which is used to hold these carpet rolls but the van remains parked and unusable for anything other than for carpet storage. The facility rented to us by the city varies according to availability, so we are praying in different locations often. We have been mobile in this fashion for more than 5 years now and we are desperately in need of a permanent place of worship.

We pray to Allah SWT that MAM’s mission is attained soon and that we will Insha’Allah establish a permanent Masjid & Community Centre in Milton.
